Our Mission:  BelieversWay Church

Every week we strive to build a church family equipped to reach the lost, un-churched and the religious in our community, bringing them to the path of a true believer. We execute this vision by growing in relationship with God and one another, established in faith, wisdom and maturity that is evident by our lives.

About Founding Pastors Scott and Missy Johnson

Twelve year old Scott Johnson stared in awe at the crowd that filled the ballroom of the Sheraton in Oklahoma City in 1972.  When Kenneth Copeland opened his Bible to preach, Scott listened intently.  The encounter with God that Scott experienced that day shaped his life.  Everyone else in the room seemed to disappear as Scott stood trembling before the Lord, making three requests. “Lord, I want to sing for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, I want to work for a ministry of worldwide impact, and I want to have a ministry that impacts the world.”

In 1980, Scott accepted his first position at Kenneth Copeland Ministries, fulfilling his request to work for a ministry with world-wide impact.  And in 1986, he was asked to sing for KCM. Scott sang with Kellie Copeland at conventions and later recorded the album, Goodbye World.  With two of his three requests fulfilled, Scott sought the Lord diligently.  Then in November 1997, the Lord spoke to Scott and his wife, Missy, about His assignment for their lives. “I’m calling you as an apostle and as a pastor to plant churches in West Texas and beyond.”

On August 15, 1999, Scott and Missy celebrated their first service at BelieversWay Church.  Since then the church in Amarillo, Texas has grown to over 1500 believers.  In 2001, Scott and Missy celebrated their first church plant in Edwards, Colorado.  Then in September of 2005, the second church plant of BWC began in Midland, Texas under the leadership of Trey Johnson.  With God’s clear direction, the team of BelieversWay Church is helping people find the right path for their lives through relationship with God.
