God gave the children of Israel
a brand new start when they left Egypt. They left the slavery and
bondage behind and entered their future with the wealth of Egypt.
Just like them, God wants you to
leave the mistakes and hurts of 2008 behind because He doesn’t want you
to take the problems of yesterday into tomorrow. And just like the
Israelites, He doesn’t want you to leave 2008 empty-handed and
unprepared for 2009.
Take the good things – the
experiences learned, the wisdoms gained and the loves of 2008 and bring
them into 2009 with you. These things are there to strengthen and
encourage you, to help pay for your future. Why pay for something
twice? If you have already been there and done that – why repeat it in
the future?
God is handing you a new start –
a brand new year with a brand new beginning. Carefully select the
things you take with you - take the loves into the New Year but leave
the hates behind.
